General Ledger

The function of Post Journals is to create a general ledger record by recording any current journal transaction in the General Ledger.

Tip:- The Posting of Transactions is controlled by Batch. Batches of Journals can easily be checked and amended by creating an Edit List prior to Posting. Posted Journals can be viewed in Account Inquiry and Journal History.

• Select the Select All button to highlight all the Available Batches appearing in the list for posting or use Ctrl+Click to select individual records (Deselect All to reverse any records selected).
  
• Important: Check the Batch dollar amount agains the Edit List before generating the Post.

Completion Instructions Post Journals Form

• Select OK or to Post the Journals selected.
• Select Cancel to reset and escape the Post Journals selection form.
